Design & Install

Unique Spaces

It comes as no surprise to us that landscape improvements remain one of the top three of all home improvement categories for ample ‘return-on-investment’.

EVERY garden can benefit from a good design, no matter how small it might be. Getting the right design in place BEFORE you add the plants and features is CRITICAL to success. Without a good design structure in place (the shapes of your lawn, patio or deck areas) it won’t matter how nice the plants you choose are, your garden will never look as good as you hope without a good design.

Garden Maintenance

Soil Tests

We highly recommend a soil test! Knowing the soil composition will provide you with the knowledge to apply the proper nutrients to your gardens.

Soil is tested for pH, LR, OM, P2O5, K2O, Ca, Mg, Na, S, Fe, Mn, Cu, Zn, Al, B, CEC, Base Sa.

Garden Tilling

Proper garden preparation is perhaps the most important activity you can do each spring to insure a plentiful harvest. An important first step is to determine when to turn the soil. If the soil is still sticky and clumps together, then tilling may cause soil compaction, drainage, and aeration problems later on in the season. If the soil crumbles when you work it around in your hands, then it's okay to till.

Soil Amendments

Most soil amendments are added to improve the structure of the soil, to increase the organic content so that the soil is more capable of holding nutrients and moisture. When these organic materials are added to the soil, they also act in varying degrees as fertilizers, providing a mix of nutrients to plant roots.

Pruning

Too often, plant maintenance is overlooked. There are several benefits to a well maintained landscape besides aesthetic purposes. Sure your home’s exterior property will look much more presentable, but pruning and trimming also allow for proper plant growth, as well as helping to control insects and plant related diseases.

Spring & fall clean ups

Whether the growing season is about to start or ending there will be clean up to be done in the garden. From dead heading to cleaning up the leaves we can have your gardens looking refreshed.
